Record year for A* to C grades
Hundreds of students around the Isle of Man have been receiving their GCSE results today.
The Department of Education and Children says 98.8 per cent of results were A* to G, while 72.6 per cent achieved A* to C grade – topping the 70 per cent mark for the first time ever.
The number of subjects each student sat, however, fell slightly over the past year – each young person sat an average of 9.1 subjects.
