Detection rates for crime still good says Chief Constable
A recent surge in crime hasn't stopped the Isle of Man being a safe place to live.
That's the view of the Chief Constable in his annual report, which was released yesterday (Tues).
The report comes in the wake of further budget cuts, and an unsolved wave of burglaries earlier this year.
In spite of all this, overall crime rates and detection rates remain far more positive than their United Kingdom equivalents.
Chief Constable Gary Roberts told Manx Radio what the report entails:

Rapid bed review finds 'deep rooted behavioural and cultural issues' at Noble's Hospital
'Iconic' 250-year-old Ballaugh elm trees felled due to disease
Report published following rapid review of bed capacity at Noble’s Hospital
'Big discussions' to be had over whether Isle of Man follows UK-style social media ban
