Parkin hopes for increased tourism
This year could be an important one for the Island’s stargazing tourism.
So says local astronomer Howard Parkin of AstroManx.
He’s worked with the Manx government over the last few years to help the Isle of Man achieve its current dark sky status.
It has even prompted a surge of interest from the BBC, which sent a team across on Monday afternoon to focus on the largest concentration of Dark Sky Discovery sites in the British Isles.
