Hotel creates 35 jobs for locals
The Isle of Man's first Premier Inn has been officially opened.
Located on Market Street in Douglas, the 85-room hotel has created 35 jobs for local residents and been described by the enterprise minister as a renaissance of the tourism industry.
A special opening ceremony was held yesterday by the managing director of Premier Inn UK, Simon Ewins.
He says the aim of the opening is to grow the Manx tourism market, not cannibalise it:
