Two Ramsey men have received lengthy jail terms for bringing heroin into the Island.
David Allan Bonnar and Scott Eric Carbutt, aged 36 and 32 respectively, were arrested after police seized £22,600 worth of the drug at Ronaldsway Airport in October.
Bonnar has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison, with a six year 10 months sentence imposed on Carbutt.
Police say it’s a reminder that bringing drugs into the Island is a very serious offence and the force has a specialist team dedicated to dealing with serious and organised crime.
