Rider died following Southern 100 incident
The inquest into the death of road racer James Cowton will be opened at Douglas courthouse today (WEDNESDAY).
Mr Cowton, from Driffield in East Yorkshire, died following an incident at the Southern 100 last week.
The 26-year-old was fatally injured in the 600cc Challenge Race on Thursday with three other riders also involved in the incident.
Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes will open proceedings at 12pm this afternoon.
