MHK claims local businesses could be losing out
An MHK says she will continue to speak out for licensing laws to apply to visiting cruise liners and claims local businesses could be losing out.
Onchan member Julie Edge asked, in Keys questions, what licensing laws applied in this case.
She was told when the current laws were drawn up, cruise liner visits were not as frequent or as important as they are now and so didn't feature.
She says she has been approached by locals who are concerned about the effect such visits could be having:

Immigration changes designed to stop exploitation by 'bad eggs'
Plantation wood, telegraph poles and Satnav to be discussed in the House of Keys
Contingency budget for horse tram tracks 'significantly increased'
MHK to seek re-election in Arbory, Castletown and Malew
