
Liberal Vannin Party leader Peter Karran has called for Tynwald members to contribute more towards their pensions.
When MHKs and MLCs decided earlier this year to start paying into them it was on a voluntary basis, starting at 3% and eventually rising to 5%, then becoming compulsary for new members after the next general election in 2016.
Mr Karran wants a 10-15% contribution introduced by then.
He's written to the Tynwald Emoluments Committee calling for just such a move to be made.
He says what's been brought in so far simply doesn't go far enough:
