Escalating tension prompts UK Foreign Office to update safety and security advice
Escalating tension in the Middle East has prompted the UK Foreign Office to update advice to people travelling to other countries in the region.
The UK government is warning of ongoing hostilities between Israel and Iran and the potential for the situation to 'deteriorate further' on its safety and security page.

For Isle of Man residents who have trips to the UAE and further afield, some travel agents have seen an uptick in people wanting to travel via a different route.
Edward Pearson, the Director of Manx Travel says only one client's flight was impacted over the weekend, adding the situation is 'quiet fluid':
Meanwhile, the chairman of Mann Link Travel says flights are continuing as normal.
"This is not the first time, and I'm sure it won't be the last. There will be disruption, I'm sure, but travellers are very resilient and they tend to make other arrangements and just avoid those particular areas." - Brian Kelly
