Manx Film Festival steps into limelight
The Isle of Man Film Festival's full 2016 programme kicks off today (8 Sept).
Now in its fifth year, the event is bigger than ever, with a full week of events taking place around the Island.
A series of free films with Manx themes and links have been shown each day at the Manx Museum, with today's bill including Manx musician Davy Knowles' Island Bound, Irish documentary Atlantic and short film Skies of Mann.
A welcome reception for filmmakers has been hosted at the Claremont Hotel this afternoon, and this evneing an all-Island movie pub quiz takes place simultaneously at four separate locations.
Saturday's headline event will feature Lord of the Rings star John Rhys-Davies in conversation with BBC film critic Mark Kermode.
