Ferries bigger than Ben-my-Chree able to use proposed new facility
Vessels larger than the Ben-my-Chree would be able to dock at the proposed new facility for Manx ferries in Liverpool.
The planning application for the new berth at Prince's Half Tide Dock has now been submitted.
The Department of Infrastructure believes the Steam Packet Company will be able to start using the new site from the end of 2020, and is keen to continue operating at Pier Head until then.
Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer hopes the Department can work with Liverpool City Council to come to an agreement.
