Two weeks to explore last minute approach
Isle of Man Post Office says it's received a 'late expression of interest' from someone wishing to provide postal services in Port St Mary.
It's reopened its request for quotes exercise saying it remains committed to providing the service 'where it is practical to do so'.
It follows an announcement earlier this week that the post office, which is currently run from Calvert's Newsagents, would close at the end of this month.
A further two weeks will be allowed for the late interested party to formally submit their relevant documentation.
Other parties are also welcome to express interest during this period.
Despite this Isle of Man Post Office says there is no guarantee 'a workable solution' can be found.
