Cutoff brought forward due to earlier closing time at schools
Pupils travelling home from school by bus will have an hour less to use their bus pass from next month.
Bus cards SCH1 and SCH2 will only be valid until 5pm from 4 November, instead of 6pm.
Bus Vannin says the 6pm deadline was put in place to accommodate students who attend after school activities.
However, as many schools now close earlier, the bus operator says this means most pupils are off site by 4.15pm.
The change means any student who does get a bus after 5pm will have to pay a half fare.
