Parent calls for requisition meeting
Measures to alleviate Arbory’s parking problems and traffic congestion need to be addressed as a matter of urgency – so says a parent and former police officer.
Jimmy Cubbon has three children at Arbory Primary School which this week implemented a new 'drop-off' policy, restricting the number of vehicles allowed to use the school car park and encouraging parents of older children to drop them off nearby.
It’s provoked a mixed reaction with some claiming they are being penalised for having large vehicles and others suggesting the safety of children is being compromised.
Mr Cubbon hopes a requisition meeting will now be called bringing together school staff, commissioners, infrastructure and education chiefs.
