Alex was struck down with Guillian Barre Syndrome
The twin sister of a local man who was paralysed from the neck down nine weeks ago is asking for public help to see him.
Port St Mary man Alex Keenan was transferred from Noble's to the Walton Centre in Liverpool after he was struck down with Guillian Barre Syndrome.
Since then, his mother and twin Leanne Moore have been visiting him there - there's no indication as to when he'll be allowed to return home.
The 37-year-old was suddenly taken seriously ill alone at home with the condition - which was brought on by his body's immune system attacking part of the peripheral nervous system.
Leanne is one minute older than her brother, and suffers from multiple sclerosis - also caused by attacks to her nerves.
She says she's grateful to the Department of Health and Social Care for its support, but needs more money to cover the costs of visiting him:
