Ettyl aims to provide temporary air cover on rolling basis
It seems we could have flights returning to Liverpool and Manchester next week - at least on a temporary basis.
An announcement by local travel firm Ettyl says direct flights to Liverpool and Manchester from the Island will be available from next Thursday(19th)
It also states flights during this year's TT will be available from today (Sun) - and will be fully refundable if the event is cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The firm says it will act as the exclusive ticketing agent for flights operated by SUN-AIR of Scandanavia, using their 32 seat Dornier 328 Jet aircraft and flights starting from £60 one way.
On its website, Ettyl says it will be making bookings available through to 27th March 2020 and will continue to assess the progress being made to establish a long-term solution to provide a scheduled service to the Island.
It also claims that the company will endeavour to extend the schedule on a weekly basis until such a solution comes forward.
The news follows the recent demise of regional airline Flybe.
