Claims heard at Tynwald Select Committee
The loss of free tram and train travel for pensioners is a 'social injustice' according to a Manx Labour Party member.
Carol Quine says those services have become unaffordable for many people of retirement age on a fixed income.
Ms Quine was giving evidence yesterday (1 Dec) to a Tynwald select committee.
It's been tasked with reviewing the decision of the Department of Infrastructure to scrap the concession and introduce half price fares.
Ms Quine says poorer pensioners have been discriminated against:
