Public gathering to discuss Westmoreland Road plans
The vast majority of those who packed a meeting in Douglas last night to discuss a major local development have voted against the proposals.
The plans for the Westmoreland Village Development have come from the Manx Development Corporation.
It has 133 homes, 20 thousand square feet of office space and four retail units.
But those at last night public meeting at Rosemount were, in the majority, unimpressed:
Central Douglas MHK and Infrastructure Minister Chris Thomas told those at the meeting to put their comments to the planners.
Mr Thomas helped chair the meeting along with his Keys colleague Ann Corlett and Councillor Stephen Pitts:

£41K spent on encouraging people to shop local
Baton of Hope to come back to Isle of Man
CoC 'keen' for continuity of sidecar racing at TT
