Item was found at Post Office HQ last week
Police have confirmed a 21-year-old man from the north of the Island has been arrested in connection with the suspect package found at Post Office headquarters last week.
They say he was arrested on Sunday for the offences of; attempting to cause an explosion, making or keeping explosives with intent to endanger life or property, and endangering public safety.
He has been assisting detectives with this ongoing investigation and is currently on police station bail.
The statement issued says the police won't be disclosing the contents of the suspect package as this is still a current line of enquiry for the investigation team.
