Chef fined £1,100
A court's heard a Douglas man fled police after being thrown out of a nightclub.
Twenty-three-year-old Callum Robert Dubost, of Homefield Close, appeared at Douglas Courthouse.
He pleaded guilty to escaping lawful custody and using threatening behaviour on 27 June.
Prosecution advocate Rachael Braidwood told the court police were called to Bordello on Douglas promenade, at around 1.30am, after Dubost refused to leave.
The court heard Dubost wouldn't stop swearing, despite warnings from officers, and was eventually arrested.
Before he could be handcuffed, however, the chef ran off along Victoria Street before being recaptured by pursuing officers.
Dubost, who represented himself in court, told magistrates he was afraid of police and they affected his mental health.
He was fined £1,100 and ordered to pay £125 towards prosecution costs.
