52-year-old answers "no comment"
A court's heard a Douglas man grabbed his neighbour's neck and had to be separated by passers-by.
Fifty-two-year-old James Jeremy Rennison, of Clarence Terrace, appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
He admitted using provoking behaviour in a shared garden, at his home, on 27 July.
Prosecution advocate Hazel Carroon told the court witnesses saw Rennison grab the man's neck at around 9:30pm.
Rennison put both hands around his neck and pushed him backwards - tipping him off a chair onto the ground.
Witnesses called police and Rennison told officers the other man had been drinking and had threatened him.
However, CCTV didn't back up his version of events and when confronted with the footage he answered "no comment" to all questions.
Magistrates jailed him for 14 days – because of time served on remand he'd already completed his sentence.
He was also ordered to pay £125 towards prosecution costs.
