Police appeal for witnesses
A man is in hospital with serious head injuries following an assault in Douglas, say police.
It happened in the men's toilets in the downstairs area of the Courthouse nightclub on Athol Street in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The 24-year-old man's injuries are described as serious but not life threatening.
Police say they have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the attack, who has subsequently been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed this assault or who may have any information to call police headquarters on 631212.
