53-year-old Liverpool man remanded at Isle of Man Prison
A Liverpool man who has been accused of manslaughter has been committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
John Meadows, of Verney Crescent, appeared at Douglas Courthouse via live link from the Isle of Man Prison today (2 July).
The 53-year-old has been charged with causing the death of his partner, 57-year-old Gillian Hughes, on Douglas Promenade on 29 March.
There was no application for bail; he will make his first appearance before the higher court on a date to be set.
Update: Mr Meadows is due to appear in court again on 11 October.
