Ballasalla Medical Centre to hand back contract at the end of April
Manx Care needs to work to gain the trust of the Island's GPs so they feel comfortable sharing when things aren't going well.
That's from the chief executive of the Island's healthcare provider after Ballasalla Medical Centre handed back its contract early.
The Ballasalla partners previously announced they would stop providing GP services at the end of July, but will now step back at the end of this month, with Manx Care taking over with a salaried GP service.
Teresa Cope says it's vital GP partners can come to the health board when they have issues:

One in eight drinking above recommended weekly alcohol limit
Renal patients 'near breaking point' over lack of dialysis facilities in the north
Public Health to expand 'stop nicotine' services and accept referrals from children
