Health body taking on dentist surgery with almost 7,000 patients
Manx Care says it will have to provide NHS services - for a dental practice with more than 6,000 patients - within the budget the previous private provider had.
It's taking over Hillside Dental Practice, in Douglas, in December after Regent Dental Care made the decision to hand back its contract.
Some patients have been waiting for a routine dental examination for more than two years.
Chief Executive Teresa Cope says the healthcare body wants to provide better care for these people but stresses it must be done 'within existing financial resourcing':
