Items pose threat to countryside
The Manx Farmers' Union has welcomed a change in the law which bans the release of helium balloons and sky lanterns.
It's in a bid to combat litter, wildfires and the threat the items can pose to wildlife and livestock.
In 2014 the MFU called for them to be made illegal after a cow died from swallowing lantern wire.
Vice President Ean Parsons says they find the items at least once a week:
