Call for DfE to give greater backing
More needs to be done to help secure the future of the Manx Grand Prix.
That's the view of the president of the Manx Motor Cycle Club.
The MMCC is the organiser of the Classic TT and the Department for Enterprise the promoter, while the club does both for the MGP.
Harvey Garton says he would like to see the DfE do more to support the event, particularly once the Classic TT ends:
Mr Garton says the one-year contracts they currently sign with the department are of little use when it comes to trying to attract sponsors, either:
