Agriculture Minister confirms talks in Tynwald
Negotiations with "one the Island's largest, non-local supermarket chains" about stocking Manx meat are ongoing, according to the Agriculture Minister.
Geoffrey Boot was responding to a question from Middle MHK Bill Shimmins in Tynwald this morning (Tues 15th).
He wanted to know what action was being taken to encourage Island retailers to stock Manx produce.
Mr Boot told the court that Manx produce was already stocked in local stores, particularly supermarket chain Shoprite, and work was continuing with other retailers on the Island:
