Student campaigning for change to student finance system
A local undergraduate is campaigning for change to the Island's student finance system.
Kathryn Sharman, a Law student in the UK, admits Manx students are at a financial advantage once they've graduated, but thinks there's too much pressure on parents to provide financial stability during their children's further education.
British students have access to a student loan, and, in some cases, maintenance grants, which cover their living costs, rent and day-to-day needs.
Miss Sharman says in relative terms, the pressure on Manx families can be much greater:
