
It's important to get the future development of Douglas Market Hall right.
That's the belief of the chairman of the Housing and Property Committee at Douglas Corporation, David Ashford.
Councillor Ashford, who's heading the committee looking into the future of the market, admits its been some time since the local authority asked for expressions of interest in the site, and so far no decision has been reached.
But he says they want to ensure the right decision is made for the long-term future of the market which represents best value for money for the Douglas ratepayer:
