Ashford to quiz Housing and Communities Board Chair in Tynwald
A Douglas North MHK wants to know what long term housing options are available to families and partners seeking to leave an abusive relationship.
David Ashford will put the question to the chair of the Housing and Communities Board at next week's Tynwald sitting.
He told Manx Radio it comes after speaking to a number of people and realising that the short term housing that's available currently, is not long enough to allow victims who've left abusive homes, to find an alternative address.
He added it's something he believes government needs to look at and factor into housing policies:
Creamery working to solve the mystery of tight screw caps on cartons
Young people's bereavement drop in service coming to an end
Pub's inclusive toilet signs vandalised
£100K cash injection for energy efficiency scheme
Regulator investigates potential Manx Radio licence compliance issue
