Julie Edge's motion seeks to split upcoming 9.9% increase
An MHK is calling for the upcoming minimum wage increase to be brought in in two phases.
Onchan member Julie Edge has put forward a motion for January's sitting of Tynwald that would split the rise.
Her proposals include a five percent increase on 1 April 2026, with a further 4.9 percent in November.
Tynwald previously approved a 9.9 percent increase from £12.25 to £13.46 to come in on 1 April, but the move has led to concern from the Island's business sector.
