At the moment "open dialogue does not happen"
A Tynwald motion has been tabled for the October sitting demanding better consultation with businesses and individuals ahead of any proposed government funded scheme or capital project.
It's in the name of Arbory, Malew and Castletown MHK, Jason Moorhouse.
His motion is in response to the recent release of by government of proposals for a possible wind farm in the south of the Island.
Mr. Moorhouse says the lack of dialogue with people who may be affected, has left people distressed and angry:
In a separate motion, Mr Moorhouse is calling for important sections of the Island's uplands to be designated as Manx National Park land and given similar protected status to National Parks in the UK.
It's a move that would prevent certain developments including the erection of windfarms.
