The service is subject to approval from the Road Transport Licensing Committee.
A Rushen MHK is welcoming news of a new bus route that would include a service to Cregneash and the Sound.
Juan Watterson hailed it a victory for 'people power', after the infrastructure minister announced the 8S Service on Manx Radio yesterday (27 June).
According to Michelle Haywood the bus will connect Peel and Foxdale with the south of the Island.

Mr Watterson says the news is welcome not just by him but also by his constituents, some of whom were left without a service when the previous Cregneash route was scrapped:
He added that this opportunity also provides Peel residents traveling via Ronaldsway with the option of using a bus instead of having to drive.
