'It has been a very difficult and long TT Festival for many' says MHK
The MHK with responsibility for motorsport has paid tribute to the Isle of Man Marshals Association, after they won the Spirit of the TT Award yesterday.
Rob Callister says it's "a fitting tribute in recognition of their achievements this year."
In a post on social media, he thanked everyone involved in the IOMTTMA, and particularly those involved in this year's festival.
He went on to say: "it has been a very difficult and long TT Festival for many people, especially the marshals, because of the long periods of rain, low mist around the island and the cancellation of various practice sessions and races."
"Every single Marshal within the IOMTTMA should be proud of their commitment to ensure that the event could go ahead as quickly possible."
