Brenda Cannell steps down from East Douglas seat
An MHK who will step away from Manx politics next month after nearly 19 years says the role of the family can’t be overestimated.
East Douglas member Brenda Cannell is to stand down for personal reasons.
Elected to the House of Keys in 1996, Mrs Cannell was also a Douglas councillor for three years between 1992 and 1995.
She says the loved ones of politicians are the unsung heroes.
