Hourly rate set to begin to rise from April
Rises in the minimum wage on the Isle of Man, set to come into force this year, are necessary if the Island wants to remain competitive with other jurisdictions.
That was the message from the enterprise minister this week as he addressed a Chamber of Commerce event.
The minimum wage will rise by a total of £1.60 per hour to £13.05 pence in two stages - 80 pence in April and another 80 pence in October.
