Convicted to be automatically pardoned in the UK
Gay pardon laws will go out for public consultation on the Isle of Man.
That's the commitment made by new Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey - who says the move championed by his predecessor will be debated as part of the upcoming Sexual Offences Bill.
It was one of Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson's final moves before he was replaced as minister.
It would see any gay men prosecuted before the law was changed in 1992 vindicated by law.
It's been announced the UK will roll out the 'Alan Turing Law' after the plight of the first man to be pardoned was made public in the film; The Imitation Game.
Mr Malarkey says he heard Mr Watterson's comments on the subject on Mandate this morning - he says he has every intention of seeing it through:
