Tribunal found Ashford 'over reliant' on info from CEO
The former health and social care minister says he ‘stands by’ the evidence he gave at the employment tribunal of a government whistleblower.
David Ashford has resisted calls to resign following a tribunal's ruling that the Island's former medical director was unfairly dismissed.
Mr Ashford was said to be ‘over reliant’ on information given to him during the pandemic by his off-Island chief executive.
As a consequence the tribunal said he may have been ‘misinformed’.
The now treasury minister told Manx Radio the tribunal outcome is ‘disappointing’ but maintains he wasn’t involved in Dr Rosalind Ranson’s dismissal:
