Race organisers happy to go back to black and white
The Infrastructure Minister insists there was nothing wrong with the concept of a red-and-black zebra crossing in Kirk Michael.
The markings on the TT course were designed to give riders more grip as they accelerated on the road.
However, it’s since been re-painted in the traditional black-and-white style.
Tim Baker says the decision has been made with support of race organisers:
Tim Baker is standing for the House of Keys General Election in the constituency of Ayre and Michael.
The other candidates standing are Dr Sosthene Boussougou, Alfred Cannan, Phil Corkill, Tim Johnston, Duncan Livingstone, Liberal Vannin's Paul Weatherall and Madeleine Westall.
