Henderson queries if it really concerns the public
The longest serving member of Tynwald has described a Bill which would remove the bishop's vote as 'navel-gazing' to the detriment of the public's needs.
Earlier this week the Legislative Council voted to progress the change with some MLC's saying, despite personal feelings, it was important they "do the job" they've been tasked with.

Reforming the Upper House has long been a Liberal Vannin policy; the proposals were put forward by its leader, Ramsey MHK, Lawrie Hooper.
Mr Hooper says removing the vote is something which he and his party believe is fundamental to democracy - since the bishop isn't elected by the public.
