Tynwald will be asked to consider plan this month
An Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK says plans to borrow £400 million appear to be an attempt to 'grab some cheap money'.
Later this month the Treasury Minister will ask Tynwald for permission to secure and use the funds to refinance the Steam Packet and Manx Utilities debt and for future investment.
Alfred Cannan is confident that the debt would be undertaken with 'solid foundations'.
However Jason Moorhouse says he's 'on the fence' as to whether he can support the plans and understands why it could be seen as 'robbing Peter to pay Paul':
