Synaptik to carry out another 200 operations in coming months
Manx Care is hoping to secure more funding to help tackle the backlog of patients needing cataract surgery.
150 procedures were carried out by specialist provider Synaptik at Noble's Hospital in March, with Manx Care having purchased a further 200 operations to be carried out over the next three months.
The Island's healthcare provider says it's working with Treasury and the Department of Health and Social Care on funding proposals to deal with the remainder of the cataract waiting list.
Manx Care says it thanks those awaiting cataract surgery for their patience.
