Minister says results a good indicator
The education minister has praised sixth formers as they find out their A Level results today.
Figures released by the Department of Education and Children show the level of A*-B grade passes was the highest since the current format was established.
Around 7.8% of students achieved the top grade - up marginally on last year - while just shy of 98% achieved a pass overall.
Efforts are ongoing to support students as they plan out their next move.
