UK paper says 1 in 4 Manx motors fail test
A national UK newspaper has come up with a startling statistic – more than 28 per cent of cars on the Isle of Man failed their last MOT test.
The figure is surprising because the Isle of Man doesn’t have MOT tests, and it’s unclear where that number has come from.
Paul Hudson writing in the Daily Telegraph, says the Isle of Man has the best pass rate for the roadworthiness check.
He cites research from car management website Automyze into more than a million MoTs on vehicles owned by AA members.
