Follows overtake on Mountain Road
Police say a motorist has come forward after footage of them driving yesterday caused concern.
A video of a white Ford Focus RS, overtaking a van on the Mountain Road, was shared on Twitter by a member of the public.
Responding to it officers said driving like this would not be tolerated and urged the driver, and those on the road who witnessed it, to come forward.
In an update today they say the driver got in touch and the issue has ‘now been dealt with’.
Police say the incident could have turned out to be a ‘multiple vehicle RTC with potential fatalities’ adding: ‘This would cause a massive strain on all emergency services and Noble’s.’
