Hotel expected to take bookings from January
It's predicted Mount Murray Hotel will start taking bookings in January - relieving some of the mounting pressure on TT accommodation ahead of the 2018 event.
Re-construction of the accommodation block followed a fire in late 2013, which caused £17 million worth of damage, destroying over 90 rooms.
To host TT visitors, Snoozebox Portable Hotel was shipped in from Silverstone Race Circuit each year since then to meet ever-increasing demand for bed space.
It was provided through Regency Travel - bosses there say the company is no longer able to operate the service.
Economic Development member, Rob Callister, says Mount Murray's re-opening hopefully before TT 2018 could solve the problem:
