Police say route won't reopen before 9am
The Mountain Road is currently closed following snow and freezing temperatures overnight.
Police confirmed the route was shut shortly after midnight, and won't reopen before 9am.
The constabulary is warning there may be icy patches around the Island this morning.
Motorists are asked to allow extra time for their journey and to drive to the conditions.
