
The MSPCA says it's strongly opposed to plans to get rid of the Island’s dog warden.
Pest Control Officers at the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture would take over the job under government plans.
Dogs are currently kept by the warden for seven days, and if unclaimed it's moved to Ard Jekyll or a suitable alternative.
The MSPCA says the new plan isn't in the best interest of animals or owners.
