The murder trial of a Castletown man continues this morning at Douglas Courthouse (THURS).
Forty-six-year-old Ian Anderson denies murdering 60-year-old Neil Roberts from Ballabeg in 2013.
Yesterday the jury heard from two live witnesses, brought forward by the prosecution.
Ian Anderson's son, 26-year-old Robert Anderson, was called to the stand.
He was followed by Police Constable Adam Tomlinson, who was second to arrive at the scene.
The jury heard Robert Anderson talk about his mother Alison Anderson's intimate relationship with Neil Roberts, which he'd been aware of for some time.
He told the court on the night of the alleged murder he had a number of video calls, via FaceTime, to and from his dad.
Robert Anderson explained how his dad told him his mum was leaving him for Neil Roberts, and his tone seemed "subdued".
Later jurors heard from PC Tomlinson, who arrived at the scene after PC Mark Langley.
PC Tomlinson said PC Langley performed emergency CPR and asked him to arrest Ian Anderson on suspicion of murder.
The trial continues at 10 o'clock this morning when more witnesses will be brought forward by the prosecution.
